چکیده

Utilization and management of Empty Fruit Bunches (EFB) fibre continue to develop as the main ingredient additional material used in various industrial products. The technological breakthrough targeted this study is developed EFB a filler polymer composite partition boards which are heat retainers interior construction buildings. board insulator, its thermal conductivity affected by mass density porosity. purpose was determine resistance products reduce entering room from outside propagating through walls exposed direct sunlight. test method adopted ASTM C177-13, namely measurement propagation with modification source 40 watts. In addition, tests (referring SNI 03-2105-2006) water absorption D5229M-12) were also carried out on product. specimens based formation Singapore Highpolymer Chemical Product (SHCP) 2667 WNC polyester resin matrix weight fractions 25%, 30%, 35% chop strand mat (CSM). results show that highest value found fraction 0.153 W/m.°C 1.16 g/cm3 capacity 3.38%. However, lowest 35%, 0.147 W/m. °C at 1.24 3.75%.

Hierarchically constructed metal foam/polymer composite for high thermal conductivity

Most polymeric tribological components are inherently insulative, resulting in susceptibility to failure from frictional heating at the PV limit, which is typically reported as a product of the heat flux terms pressure (P) and sliding speed (V). This letter reports on the design of a tribological composite for increased thermal conductivity and PV limit. The control sample is an unfilled compos...

Chu The low through-thickness thermal conductivity limits heat dissipation from continuous carbon fiber polymer–matrix composites. This conductivity is increased by up to 60% by raising the curing pressure from 0.1 to...

Healable thermoset polymer composite embedded with stimuli-responsive fibres.

Severe wounds in biological systems such as human skin cannot heal themselves, unless they are first stitched together. Healing of macroscopic damage in thermoset polymer composites faces a similar challenge. Stimuli-responsive shape-changing polymeric fibres with outstanding mechanical properties embedded in polymers may be able to close macro-cracks automatically upon stimulation such as heat...

Thermal Conductivity of Polymer Composites Filled with Nanofillers

Polymer nanocomposites are composed of polymer materials reinforced with nano fillers. In the present study the effective thermal conductivity of the composites filled with nanofillers has been investigated using commercially available finite element software ABAQUS 6.11. The nanofillers used were alumina particles and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) and the matrix was considered to be mad...
